John Goldhammer,
Ph.D., is an intuitive, experienced psychotherapist in
private practice in Seattle, Washington. He is the author of three
books.
John has a masters in Counseling Psychology and a
doctorate in Depth Psychology with emphasis in group dynamics and
Jungian psychology. He also has a bachelor of science in Financial
Accounting and an associate degree in Management Information Systems. An unusual dream about
Carl Jung Inspired him to leave a lucrative business career, return to
school and follow one of his life-long passions — psychology. John
has more than 20 years counseling experience with extensive studies in
psychology, comparative religion, sociology, and philosophy. He is also
a well-known expert on destructive group dynamics and religious cults.
He has appeared on numerous radio and television
programs around the country. Based on his second book, Under the
Influence, he created and taught these university classes:
Psychology of Groups, Psychology of Hate,
and Jung and a World In Crisis. He is the co-founder of Human
Systems Integration, a consulting firm specializing in helping
organizations create healthy group dynamics.
Drawing on
his writing and publishing experience, John also works with writers and
artists' creative and marketing challenges. He is currently working on
a new book about a fundamental change in the way we
think and how we use our imaginative powers.
